He was the former head of the Cleveland office of Salomon Bros. Born in Constantine, he attended the University of Michigan Business Graduate School and graduated from Wittenburg University In 1932. He married Helen Montanus of Springfield. a manufacturer's daughter, and fathered two sons; Edward Montanus Lintz M.D. of Milton, Mass.

and the late Donald Hagenbuch Lintz of San Diego, Ca. After being widowed in 1971 he married Velda Fletcher of Alpena, Mi. In 1974. Mr. Lintz maintained a residence in Naples, Fl.

and Pinehurst, N.C., and was an avid Golfer shooting a hole In one and shooting his age many times. He was a successful recrulter for the University of Michigan Football team and an accomplished raconteur and joketeller. He is survived by his son Ed and five grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1996 at 1 p.m.
